Director Rajkumar Santoshi expressed his excitement about the re-release, stating that it is close to his heart, and attributed the film's enduring popularity to the fact that it was shot with a lot of fun and laughter, and that it has a timeless appeal. The film has gained a massive cult following over the years and is considered one of Bollywood's most beloved comedies.

Santoshi also mentioned that he has other favorite films, including Ghayal, Ghatak, Khakee, and Lajja, but Andaz Apna Apna is special due to the joy of shooting it. He recalled that the entire cast, including Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, and Karisma Kapoor, would often be in splits while shooting scenes. A sequel to the film, titled Adaa Apni Apni, is also reportedly in the works, with an announcement expected soon.

The director is currently busy with the post-production of his new film Lahore 1947, which Aamir Khan has produced, and is unsure if he will promote the re-release of Andaz Apna Apna. He also expressed his desire to see his other films, including Lajja, re-released, citing the film's theme of women's empowerment as something that would be more acceptable in today's day and age.

The re-release of Andaz Apna Apna is a testament to the film's enduring popularity, and fans can expect to experience it in a new, high-quality format. A teaser for the re-release is set to be released on February 14, 2025, and the film will be re-released across India in cinemas, giving fans a chance to relive the magic of the cult classic.
