Saudi Airlines Expands Network with 10 New Destinations

Saudia, Saudi Arabia's national carrier, is set to add over 10 new destinations to its network in 2025, following a record year with a 16% surge in international passengers in 2024, offering travelers a diverse range of choices across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.
The new routes will include Vienna, Austria; Nice, France; Larnaca, Cyprus; Athens and Heraklion, Greece; Malaga, Spain; Bali, Indonesia; Antalya, Turkey; El Alamein, Egypt; and Salalah, Oman. This expansion reflects Saudia's strategic vision for growth and commitment to providing passengers with unparalleled travel experiences. The airline's modern fleet of 147 Boeing and Airbus aircraft plays a crucial role in facilitating the expansion, and the airline has plans to receive 118 new aircraft in the coming years.
Saudia Airlines has invested in upgrading its aircraft and operates one of the youngest fleets, serving an extensive global route network covering around 100 destinations across four continents. The airline has received several awards, including being recognized as the World's Most Improved Airline 2024 by Skytrax and ranked top among global airlines for best on-time performance (OTP) according to a report by Cirium. With over 530 daily flights, Saudia aims to increase its share of the global market and strengthen connections between Saudi Arabia and the rest of the world.
The airline will introduce a new seasonal connection between Jeddah and Heraklion in Crete, Greece, starting June 20, 2025, and operating until September 5, 2025, with a frequency of 2 flights per week. The airline will also add a new route between Riyadh and Larnaca in Cyprus, resuming a connection that was last operated in 1991. Additionally, Saudia is expanding its operations in other destinations, including Antalya, El Dabaa, Salalah, and Venice, from Jeddah, and Antalya, El Dabaa, Jakarta, and Venice, from Riyadh.
