Azaad Movie Box Office Collection Soars
The highly anticipated Bollywood film Azaad, starring Rasha Thadani and Aaman Devgan in their debut roles alongside Ajay Devgn, has hit the box office with a collection of ₹1.5 crore on its opening day, marking the biggest opener for a newcomer film since the COVID-19 pandemic.
The movie's premiere was attended by Raveena Tandon and Kajol, who came out to support their family members Rasha Thadani and Aaman Devgan. Both actresses stunned on the red carpet, with Raveena wearing a golden yellow jumpsuit and Kajol opting for a chic co-ord set. Despite the star-studded premiere, Azaad has underperformed at the box office, collecting only ₹3 crore in two days. The film trails behind Kangana Ranaut's Emergency, which has collected ₹6.50 crores in the same period.
Analysts expect Azaad to earn around ₹5 crore over the weekend, a relatively low figure considering the influential names attached to the project. The romantic-action film, directed by Abhishek Kapoor, has received mixed reviews, with some praise for certain sequences but criticism for emotional scenes, acting, and storyline. Rasha Thadani has expressed her excitement to work in films and hopes to take her mother Raveena Tandon's legacy forward, while also sharing a special bond with her co-star Aaman Devgan.
