The Wakhan Corridor, a narrow strip of land connecting Afghanistan to China and Tajikistan to Pakistan, has become a focal point of Interest for several countries due to its strategic location and potential for trade. The Wakhan Corridor's complex history has seen various empires and countries, including the Afghan Durrani Empire, Czarist Russia, and the British, control the region. The region is home to around 17,000 semi-nomadic people, mainly following the Ismaili sect.
