Matt Henry Supports Mitchell Santner as New Zealand Captain
Mitchell Santner's leadership experience and skills will be crucial as New Zealand takes on Zimbabwe in the first Test, and the team is confident that he will lead them to victory, with the support of the entire squad, including Matt Henry.

New Zealand Test captain Tom Latham has been ruled out of the first Test against Zimbabwe due to a shoulder injury, with Mitchell Santner taking over as captain, becoming the 32nd New Zealand men's Test captain in the process.
Latham sustained the injury while fielding in a T20 match, forcing him to miss the first Test, but he will remain with the squad to regain match fitness for the second Test. Mitchell Santner, who has 1066 runs and 74 wickets from 30 Tests, will lead the side, bringing his experience and leadership skills to the role.
Santner has previously led the team to a T20I tri-series victory in Harare, where New Zealand remained undefeated in the group stage. New Zealand head coach Rob Walter expressed his disappointment over Latham's injury but backed Santner to do well, citing his experience and the respect he has from the players.
The injury to Latham is a significant blow to the team, but with Santner at the helm, New Zealand will be looking to make a strong start to the Test series against Zimbabwe, and the team is hopeful that Latham will regain full fitness for the second Test.
