Queen Elizabeth Fashion Legacy Honoured
The exhibition will showcase 200 of Queen Elizabeth's fashion-forward outfits and accessories, including her coronation gown, headscarves, and more, providing a unique insight into the Queen's life and style, and cementing her legacy as a fashion icon.

King Charles III is set to honour his late mother Queen Elizabeth II's legacy with a special exhibition at the King's Gallery in London, marking her 100th birthday, featuring approximately 200 items, including clothing and accessories worn by the Queen in all ten decades of her life.
The exhibition, "Queen Elizabeth II: Her Life in Style", will celebrate Queen Elizabeth II's fashion legacy, showcasing her changing fashions from childhood to her reign. Highlights include her wedding dress, made by Sir Norman Hartnell in 1947, and a silver lamé and tulle bridesmaid dress she wore at the age of eight. The exhibition will also display more relaxed, printed dresses from the 1970s and everyday clothes, such as riding jackets and tartan skirts.
Curator Caroline de Guitaut says the display will tell the story of the Queen's thoughtful style choices and exceptional craftsmanship. Queen Elizabeth's iconic wedding dress, which she bought with war ration coupons, will be on display at Buckingham Palace's King's Gallery in spring 2026 as part of a fashion exhibit in honor of what would have been her 100th birthday.
The exhibition will open in spring 2026, with dates to be announced and tickets on sale in November 2025, giving the public a chance to experience the Queen's remarkable fashion legacy and learn more about her life and style.
