Despite its talented cast, including Vikrant Massey and Shanaya Kapoor, Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan fails to impress due to its poorly written script, riddled with clichés and unbelievable moments, making it a disappointing romantic comedy.

Based on a Ruskin Bond short story, the film tells the story of a blind musician and a wannabe actor who pretend to be blind, but their encounter on a train blossoms into a messy romance. The film's writing is its biggest downfall, making it hard for even experienced actors to shine, despite Vikrant Massey's efforts to bring realness to his character. Shanaya Kapoor shows promise, but is stuck in a poorly written role that fails to utilize her potential.

The film's second half takes the pair to a foreign country, where they rekindle their feelings, but the writing only gets worse, leading to an underwhelming conclusion. With an overall Hindi occupancy of 9.92% on its opening day, the film's performance is lackluster, earning an estimated Rs 43 lakh on Day 2, taking its total to Rs 73 lakh. The film faces stiff competition from Hollywood releases like Superman and Jurassic World Rebirth, making it Vikrant Massey's lowest-earning film to date.

Directed by Niranjan Iyengar and Mansi Bagla, Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan explores themes of love, longing, and emotional vulnerability, but ultimately fails to deliver due to its poorly written script, making it a disappointing watch for audiences.
