Pakistan cricket team's all-rounder Shadab Khan has undergone successful surgery on his right shoulder and is now in the recovery and rehabilitation phase, aiming for a speedy return to professional cricket. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is preparing for upcoming series, including the T20I series against Bangladesh, scheduled to start on July 20.

The national squad for the Bangladesh series will be announced within the next couple of days, as confirmed by Pakistan's Director of High-Performance Aaqib Javed. The selection process is complete, and the team is expected to be revealed soon. Notably, Haris Rauf, a Pakistan pacer, is expected to participate in the tour despite initial concerns about his availability due to his commitment to the San Francisco Unicorns in the Major League Cricket 2025.

Meanwhile, the PCB is considering converting the scheduled ODIs against West Indies into T20Is, pending a response from Cricket West Indies. The High-Performance setup is preparing for both ODI and T20I formats, with camps resuming after the Ashura break to train players for the upcoming Test series against South Africa. Shadab Khan's successful surgery marks the beginning of his journey back to full fitness, with an expected recovery time of 2-3 months.

As the Pakistan cricket team gears up for the challenging series against Bangladesh and other upcoming matches, the focus remains on player recovery, team selection, and strategic preparation. The PCB's efforts to adapt to changing schedules and formats reflect the team's commitment to staying competitive in the international cricket arena.
