Sri Lanka crushed Bangladesh in the second Test to seal the two-match series 1-0, with Pathum Nissanka scoring an unbeaten 146 and Dinesh Chandimal scoring 93 to help their team reach 290/2 and eventually win by an innings and 78 runs.

The victory was set up by a 194-run stand between Nissanka and Chandimal, which gave Sri Lanka a 43-run lead after Bangladesh was bowled out for 247 earlier in the day. Sri Lanka's left-arm spinner Prabath Jayasuriya took 5-56 as Bangladesh was all out for 133 in their second innings.
