Diljit Dosanjh's upcoming film Sardaar Ji 3 has sparked controversy due to the inclusion of Pakistani actors, prompting the Federation of Western India Cine Employees to threaten the actor with ousting from Bollywood.

The FWICE president, BN Tiwari, has accused Dosanjh of being a "traitor" and "non-cooperator" for collaborating with Pakistani artists, including Hania Aamir, Nasir Chinyoti, Daniel Khawar, and Saleem Albela. The ban on Pakistani artists in India was renewed following recent tensions between India and Pakistan, leading to a broader crackdown on Pakistani content in India.

The film's trailer, featuring Hania Aamir, has been geo-blocked in India, and her Instagram account has been blocked as well. The filmmakers have opted for an overseas-only release to avoid delays, protests, and political backlash. However, with the release of a new teaser, it seems that the ban on Pakistani artists has been lifted, allowing the film to move forward with its release date set for June 27.

The new teaser confirms that Hania Aamir has been replaced by Jasmin Bajwa in the film. Sardaar Ji 3 marks the third instalment of the successful Sardaar Ji franchise, known for its light-hearted humour and fantasy elements. Diljit Dosanjh reprises his role as a ghost hunter who gets offended if addressed without the honorific "Ji".

The controversy surrounding Sardaar Ji 3 highlights the ongoing tensions between India and Pakistan, which have led to a significant impact on the entertainment industry. The film's release will be closely watched, and its success will depend on how it navigates the complex geopolitical landscape.
