Tata Group CFOs' Salaries Revealed, PB Balaji Earns Rs 21.09 Crore

The highest-paid CFO in the Tata Group in FY25 is PB Balaji, Group CFO of Tata Motors, with a total salary of Rs 21.09 crore, marking a 1.47% rise from the previous year. Balaji, an IIT-IIM graduate, surpassed all other CFOs in terms of increase in pay, followed by Koushik Chatterjee of Tata Steel and Sanjeev Churiwala of Tata Power.
Other top-earning CFOs in the Tata Group include Koushik Chatterjee with Rs 13.99 crore and Sanjeev Churiwala with Rs 7.08 crore. The CFOs of Tata International, Tata Sons, and Tata Chemicals also received significant salaries, although the exact figures are not disclosed. The salaries of these CFOs saw an increase, with Balaji's pay rising by 1.47%, Chatterjee's by 2.86%, and Churiwala's by 3.29%.
In related news, Tata's Trent, a Tata Enterprise, accelerated retail expansions in FY25, adding over 280 stores for Westside and Zudio. Westside added 40 new stores and consolidated 24, bringing the total store count to 248 as of March 31. Zudio added 244 new stores and consolidated 24, with a store footprint of 7,000-12,000 sq. ft. Westside's online channels contributed 6% to its revenues in FY25, while Zudio crossed $1 billion in sales.
Trent's Managing Director, P. Venkatesalu, stated that both Westside and Zudio operate at scale, witnessing strong volume-led growth across diverse categories.
