ASR Achieves a.s.r Paris-Proof Verduurzaming Goal
With the completion of this project, the ASR Dutch Core Residential Fund sets a precedent for institutional investors to prioritize sustainability and energy efficiency in their portfolios, paving the way for a more environmentally conscious approach to real estate investing and management.

The ASR Dutch Core Residential Fund has successfully completed the Paris-proof-verduurzaming of 69 homes in Houten, transforming them into energy-efficient residences with a minimum label of A+++ and aiming for CO2 neutrality.
This milestone marks the first time an institutional investor has undertaken such a large-scale renovation of homes from the 1980s, equipping them with all-electric heat pumps, heat recovery systems, and solar panels. The renovation also included improved insulation, new roofing, windows, doors, and glazing, significantly reducing the homes' environmental footprint.
The ASR Dutch Core Residential Fund aims to achieve a fully Paris-Proof residential portfolio by 2045, focusing on minimizing material-related emissions in future renovations. This initiative demonstrates the fund's commitment to sustainable and environmentally responsible investing, aligning with the goals of reducing carbon emissions and promoting energy efficiency.
The successful completion of this project serves as a model for future renovations, highlighting the potential for large-scale transformations of existing buildings to achieve significant reductions in energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions, contributing to a more sustainable future.
