Pakistani climber Sajid Ali Sadpara has achieved a historic feat by becoming the first person to climb Nepal's Dhaulagiri without supplemental oxygen or porter support in the Spring 2025 season, marking his ninth 8,000-meter peak climbed without oxygen or external assistance.

This remarkable achievement is a testament to Sajid's skill and determination, as he dedicates his climbing career to honoring his father's legacy, Muhammad Ali Sadpara, who tragically lost his life during a winter ascent of K2 in 2021. Sajid aims to summit all 14 8,000-meter peaks without oxygen, a feat only a select few have achieved.

The 8,167m-high Dhaulagiri mountain, located in Nepal, is the world's seventh highest peak, and Sajid's successful summit without supplemental oxygen is considered a proud moment for Pakistan and the global mountaineering community. Sajid received technical climbing gear sponsorship from Kailas, and his expedition was organized by Seven Summit Treks Nepal and Sabroso Pakistan.

With Dhaulagiri added to his resume, Sajid is now five summits away from completing the full set of the world's highest peaks without oxygen. He has already summited eight of the world's peaks above 8,000m, including Everest, K2, Nanga Parbat, Broad Peak, Gasherbrum-I, and Gasherbrum-II, all without bottled oxygen and completely unsupported.

Sajid's achievement is a historic milestone for Pakistani mountaineering, reflecting the strength and courage of Pakistani climbers on the world stage. His determination to fulfill his late father's dream of summiting all 14 peaks above 8,000m without supplementary oxygen is an inspiration to climbers and adventure enthusiasts around the world.
