Drew McIntyre was involved in a table spot with Damian Priest at WWE Backlash 2025, where he missed the table and hit the floor hard, resulting in a minor injury. According to Triple H, McIntyre is "a little banged up but totally fine" after being evaluated by WWE's medical team.

The injury occurred during the Fatal Four-Way match for the WWE United States Championship, when Damian Priest delivered a South of Heaven to McIntyre from above the Pedestrian, causing McIntyre's head to hit the concrete floor instead of the wooden table. McIntyre was rushed backstage to be examined and was declared to be a bit banged up but fine, not requiring hospitalization.

Triple H provided an update on the injuries sustained by four wrestlers - Jacob Fatu, Damian Priest, Drew McIntyre, and LA Knight - after the chaotic Backlash event. Fatu retained his WWE United States Championship in a Fatal Four Way match, while Priest and McIntyre brawled outside the ring. Priest suffered a tooth injury, but the others are considered "a little banged up but totally fine".

McIntyre is recovering after the physical match, and it is expected that he will be back in action soon. The event also saw the debut of Solo Sikoa, a new member of The Bloodline, who attacked Knight and helped Fatu retain his title.
