Gearbox Software's Creative Director, Graeme Timmins, will host a 20-minute gameplay deep dive for Borderlands 4 on April 30, showcasing missions, weapons, and new characters, as the game's launch date has been moved up to September 12, 2025.

The event will feature developer insights and gameplay, giving fans a glimpse into the world of Borderlands 4. The game's key art has been revealed, and players can now wishlist the game on the PlayStation Store. The release date change is attributed to the studio's confidence in the game's development trajectory, with Gearbox's Randy Pitchford stating that the decision was not influenced by the upcoming launch of GTA 6.

Borderlands 4 will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, and will include a new horde known as the Rippers. The game's development is on track, with the studio focusing on meeting high standards of quality and ensuring a smooth launch. Meanwhile, GTA 6 is expected to release in Fall 2025, with a possible release date of September 17, 2025, and will feature a dual-protagonist narrative and improvements in NPCs, stealth mechanics, and police response.

The next trailer for GTA 6 is expected to be released around mid-May 2025, with pre-orders expected to open in 2025. The game's price is expected to be around Rs. 5,999 in India and $100 in the US, with collector's editions and digital extras available. As the gaming community awaits the release of these highly anticipated games, Gearbox Software's confidence in Borderlands 4's development is a promising sign for fans of the series.
