Lalit Manchanda, a 48-year-old television actor known for his roles in popular TV shows, was found dead at his brother's residence in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, with police confirming suicide as the cause of death.
Jeetendra Bohara, a fellow TV actor, expressed grief over Manchanda's demise, citing industry issues such as low pay, budget constraints, and lack of royalty as potential reasons for his tragic fate. The Cine and TV Artistes' Association (CINTAA) paid tribute to Manchanda, describing him as a "member since 2012". Neighbours remembered him as a calm and welcoming person. Manchanda was reportedly facing financial struggles due to a lack of work and had shifted to his brother's place in Meerut six months ago. He is survived by his wife, Taaru Manchanda, and two children, Ujjwal and Shreya.
