Pakistan pacer Shaheen Afridi was gifted a 24K Gold-Plated iPhone 16 Pro by his team, Lahore Qalandars, during a Pakistan Super League (PSL) match, leaving teammate Haris Rauf joking that it was unfair. Afridi was visibly happy with the gift, saying "It is heavy" as he walked off the field.

The gift comes as the PSL coincides with the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, with many players facing a tough decision to choose between the two franchise leagues. Recently, Corbin Bosch, a South Africa all-rounder, was suspended by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for one year for pulling out of the PSL to join the IPL. Bosch apologized for his decision and accepted the consequences, including a fine and ban.

Lahore Qalandars, a Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise, gifted their captain Shaheen Shah Afridi the 24-karat gold-plated iPhone 16 Pro in recognition of his leadership and contributions to the team. The gift was presented by team owner Sameen Rana in a small ceremony attended by teammates and support staff. The iPhone features engraved details, including Afridi's name and the Lahore Qalandars logo.

The Qalandars are currently second in the PSL 2025 standings with four points in three matches, while Islamabad United lead with eight points in four matches. Afridi has taken five wickets this season, including two wins and one loss, and the team is looking to continue their strong performance in the league.
