Shahid Afridi Advises PCB Chief on Dual Roles
The advice from Afridi comes at a crucial time for the PCB, with the PSL 10 set to begin soon. The league's success will depend on various factors, including the participation of foreign players and the management of the tournament. As the cricket community looks forward to the tournament, the PCB will need to address the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.

Former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi has advised Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Mohsin Naqvi to choose between his roles as PCB chairman and Federal Ministry of Interior chairman, citing the need for full focus on one role to serve Pakistan better.
Afridi believes that holding two roles at the same time prevents Naqvi from giving his full attention to the PCB, and that he should concentrate on one role to make a more significant impact. Despite acknowledging Naqvi's passion and determination for the betterment of cricket, Afridi emphasized that it's impossible to effectively manage two critical roles simultaneously.
Regarding the upcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10, Afridi expressed his views on the management of the league, suggesting that separating the PSL management from the PCB would be beneficial for the league. He also highlighted the importance of having foreign players in the league, stating that it is mandatory for its success. Afridi noted that the current squads for the tournament are well-balanced, making it challenging for teams to choose their playing XI.
Attaullah Tarar, the Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, has also responded to reports of Naqvi's resignation, stating that he had no knowledge of such a decision. The PCB has since dismissed the reports as baseless, confirming that Naqvi will continue in his role. Tarar wished all teams good luck in the upcoming PSL 10, expressing hope for competitive cricket.
As the PSL 10 approaches, the PCB and its chairman will be under scrutiny, with many hoping for a successful tournament. With Afridi's advice and the PCB's confirmation of Naqvi's role, the focus will now shift to the cricket field, where teams will battle it out for the top prize.
