Comedian Samay Raina appeared before the Maharashtra Cyber cell for the second time to record his statement regarding the controversial remarks made by Ranveer Allahbadia on his YouTube show "India's Got Latent", which sparked an obscenity case against Allahbadia and others.

The case, being probed by the state police's cyber and information security unit, was triggered by Allahbadia's crass remarks about parents and sex on Raina's show in February. Raina, Allahbadia, and others involved with the show are facing multiple police complaints. This controversy led to Raina apologizing for his role in the incident, admitting that his comments were made in the heat of the moment and were never intentional.

Raina expressed regret for what he said and assured authorities that he would be more cautious in the future to prevent such incidents. The controversy erupted when he made a joke about a contestant's parents having sex, which was deemed indecent and led to an FIR being registered against him and others involved. Raina had initially refused to register his statement in person but eventually did so after returning to India.

The incident has taken a toll on Raina's mental well-being and affected his Canada tour. The comedian's appearance before the cyber cell marks the latest development in the case, which has sparked widespread debate about the limits of free speech and the responsibility of public figures to maintain decorum in their content.
