Gold prices in Pakistan today drop significantly

Gold prices in Pakistan dropped on Saturday, down by Rs800 per tola and Rs686 per 10 grams, with the precious metal trading for Rs218,000 per tola and Rs272,633 per 10 grams, influenced by international market trends.

The decrease in gold prices is attributed to the international market, which lost $9, pulling down the gold bullion value to $3,022 per ounce. This fluctuation has been reflected in the local gold markets and Sarafa Markets in various cities, where gold rates are provided on a daily basis.

According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewelers Association, the price of 24 karat gold decreased by Rs686 to Rs272,633 for 10 grams, and by Rs629 for 10 grams of 22 karat gold, which dropped to Rs249,922. Meanwhile, domestic silver prices remained steady at Rs3,475 per tola and Rs2,979 per 10 grams, showing no significant change.
