Sarfaraz Ahmed, a former Pakistan captain, has been appointed as the team director of Quetta Gladiators ahead of the 10th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), with the franchise hoping that his combination with head coach Moin Khan will bring success to the team.
Sarfaraz has been a key player for the Gladiators since the league's inception and led the team to its only PSL title in 2019. He has played 86 matches for the team, scoring 1525 runs at an average of 29.32. Despite being replaced as captain in the 2023 season and released by the franchise, Sarfaraz has now been tasked with leading the team as director. Karachi Kings will start their campaign on April 12, while the first match in Multan will be played on April 22 between Multan Sultans and Lahore Qalandars.
