Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Vantara Wildlife Centre in Gujarat, where Nita Ambani and Radhika Merchant made a stylish appearance, donning stunning sarees and elegant accessories. The centre, founded by Anant Ambani, is a comprehensive wildlife rescue, rehabilitation, and conservation hub, providing a safe haven for over 25,000 animals from 48 species.
The Vantara Wildlife Centre is a sprawling 3,000-acre facility with a staff strength of about 2,100, offering a range of services including a 1 lakh sqft hospital and medical research centre equipped with advanced technology. The centre has rescued over 200 leopards, 1,000 crocodiles, and animals from around the world, and has a conservation breeding program for seven endangered species. Anant Ambani emphasized that the centre is rooted in Sanatan beliefs and aims to provide seva (service) to animals.
During his visit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted with various animals, including elephants, leopards, tigers, and reptiles, and witnessed the centre's comprehensive approach to wildlife care. Nita Ambani and Radhika Merchant's attendance at the inauguration highlighted their support for the centre's mission to provide a safe and nurturing environment for endangered and injured animals.
