The highly anticipated match between Pakistan and Bangladesh in the ICC Champions Trophy was abandoned without a ball being bowled due to rain in Rawalpindi, leaving both teams with a disappointing end to their campaigns. The match was called off 90 minutes after the scheduled start time, with the rain forcing the teams to share points.

Pakistan's cricket team was eliminated from the tournament after the match was abandoned, finishing last in Group A with one point. The team had previously been defeated by India and New Zealand, and the abandonment of the match against Bangladesh was a disappointing end to their campaign. Captain Mohammad Rizwan expressed his disappointment with the team's performance and vowed to work harder to improve.

Bangladesh, on the other hand, finished above Pakistan on net run rate, but their fate in the tournament is still uncertain. They will have to wait for the outcome of the remaining matches to see if they can advance to the semi-finals. The team will host Zimbabwe for three ODIs and T20Is in their next assignment, while Pakistan will embark on a white-ball tour of New Zealand.

The abandonment of the match was a letdown for the country, which was hosting the tournament for the first time in three decades. The rain washed out the match without a toss taking place, with covers not coming off at any point. The result means that Pakistan and Bangladesh shared points, bringing an end to their campaigns in the ICC Champions Trophy.
