Alexander Volkanovski will face Diego Lopes for the undisputed UFC featherweight championship at UFC 314 in Miami, after Ilia Topuria vacated the title to move up to lightweight, citing his legacy and weight issues.
Volkanovski, a former featherweight champion, is looking to reclaim the title after suffering back-to-back knockout losses. Lopes, on a five-fight winning streak, last defeated former title challenger Brian Ortega. The event will take place on April 12 at Kaseya Center in Miami, featuring a co-main event between Paddy Pimblett and Michael Chandler in a lightweight bout.
