Pakistan has announced its playing XI for the tri-nation ODI series match against South Africa, with two changes to its lineup, and will face a South African team led by Keshav Maharaj, who recently participated in a live meet and greet on Instagram, sharing his experiences and perspectives on cricket.

The Pakistani team is looking to bounce back from a 78-run loss to New Zealand in the series opener, and the inclusion of Saud Shakeel may allow them to try a different opening pair and accommodate Babar Azam at his usual batting position. The playing XI includes Fakhar Zaman, Babar Azam, Saud Shakeel, Mohammad Rizwan, Tayyab Tahir, Salman Agha, Khushdil Shah, Shaheen Afridi, Naseem Shah, Mohammad Hasnain, and Abrar Ahmed.

Keshav Maharaj, along with Matthew Breetzke and Kane Williamson, shared their unique journeys into cricket during the Instagram event, discussing their childhood heroes and special moments that left a lasting impact. The players also acknowledged the unique atmosphere and fan support of the SA20 season and offered advice to young cricketers, emphasizing the importance of loving the game and persevering.

The upcoming match between Pakistan and South Africa is a high-stakes encounter, with both teams seeking to gain an advantage ahead of the Champions Trophy. Pakistan have the upper hand over South Africa, who are still missing key players due to the delayed arrival of their Champions Trophy squad. The match is expected to be a high-scoring encounter, with the team batting first having won five out of six ODIs played at the venue since January 2023.

The outcome of the match will be crucial in determining the finalists of the tri-nation ODI series, with the winner facing New Zealand in the final. Both teams will be looking to overcome their struggles with consistency and put in a strong performance to gain momentum ahead of the Champions Trophy.
