Himesh Reshammiya's film "Badass Ravi Kumar" has outsold Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor's Loveyapa on its release day, with estimates suggesting it earned over ₹4 crore at the box office, against ₹1.25-1.50 crore for Loveyapa, despite the Indian censor board asking for multiple changes ahead of its release.

The film has been given a UA 16+ certificate with a final length of 2 hours, 21 minutes, and 44 seconds. The changes made to the film include blurring middle finger visuals, replacing brand names of alcohol products, removing sensual close-ups of bikini-wearing women and cleavage shots, modifying a violent scene, and muting and removing the word "bitch" from audio and subtitles. Despite these changes, the film has performed well at the box office, with 14% occupancy across India.

The strong performance of "Badass Ravi Kumar" can be attributed to its appeal in tier-2 and tier-3 centers and single screens. Many exhibitors are considering replacing Loveyapa with Ravikumar, indicating a shift in audience preference. The film's 80s-inspired action, drama, and music have been appreciated by some fans, although others have found it outdated with little substance.

The mixed reactions from netizens have not seemed to impact the film's box office collection, with "Badass Ravi Kumar" emerging as the clear winner on its release day. As the film continues to run in theaters, it will be interesting to see how it performs in the coming days and whether it can maintain its momentum.
