Islamabad Weather: Karachi Expects Cold Spell
A new weather forecast issued by the Pakistan Meteorological Department indicates that Karachi will experience dry and cool weather over the next 24 hours, with a significant drop in temperature expected from January 31.
According to the forecast, northwest winds are expected to blow, with humidity levels hovering around 39%. The minimum temperature in Karachi is currently 13.5°C, while the maximum temperature is expected to range between 25°C and 27°C. This change in weather comes after a brief break in the cold winds, which had caused a rise in both day and night temperatures in the city.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department had initially predicted warmer days for Karachi, with temperatures ranging from 26°C to 28°C during the day and 11°C to 13°C at night. However, the sudden change in weather has brought cold temperatures to the city, with the minimum temperature predicted to hover between 11°C and 14°C tonight. The change in wind direction to north-west has decreased the humidity ratio, leading to the cold spell.
The ongoing drought has been affecting parts of the city, particularly areas that rely on rainfall. The current weather forecast is expected to have an impact on these areas, which have been struggling with water scarcity. The Pakistan Meteorological Department will continue to monitor the weather situation and provide updates on any changes in the forecast.
As the city prepares for the cold spell, residents are advised to take necessary precautions to stay warm and safe. The Pakistan Meteorological Department's forecast will be updated regularly, providing citizens with the latest information on the weather conditions.
