John Abraham Joins SS Rajamouli's Film
In a recent development, Bollywood actor John Abraham has reportedly joined the cast of SS Rajamouli's upcoming film, which also stars Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Mahesh Babu, replacing Prithviraj Sukumaran who was initially considered for the role.
The film, titled SSMB29, is one of the most anticipated in Telugu cinema and promises a grand adventure with stunning visuals and captivating storytelling. SS Rajamouli, known for blockbusters Baahubali and RRR, is directing the movie, which will take the audience on a globe-trotting journey. The film's shoot will take place in Hyderabad, and Rajamouli is taking a strict approach to keep the project under wraps.
Initially, Prithviraj Sukumaran was expected to be part of the film, but he will now be working on his directorial project, Lucifer 2: Empuraan, starring Mohanlal. The film is currently in pre-production, with plans to go on floors in April 2025, and is expected to have a budget of Rs 900-1000 crores. Despite earlier reports suggesting that John Abraham would be joining the cast, it was confirmed that Prithviraj would star alongside Priyanka Chopra, but now it seems John Abraham has taken his place.
Prithviraj will, however, be reprising his role as Zayed Masood in the second installment of the Lucifer franchise, which is expected to serve as both a prequel and sequel to the 2019 film Lucifer.
