Jaron Ennis Wins Unanimous Decision Over Karen Chukhadzhian, Retains Welterweight Title
Jaron Ennis" commanding performance in the welterweight title rematch against Karen Chukhadzhian was enough for him to secure a unanimous decision victory, extending his undefeated streak to 27 years.
The highly anticipated rematch unfolded at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, where Ennis, guided by his trainers, incurred significant adjustments in strategy recently to counter Chukhadzhian's defensive caginess, and ultimately proceeded to dominate the fight with an improved showing. Notably, this victory was a revenge rematch following their initial bout twenty two months ago which Ennis had won.
Ennis marked the 27th consecutive win of his 32-fight professional career, including 30 knockouts achieved. Chukhadzhian, on the other hand, seeks to bolster his record and gains from his victory over Harry Scarff in May, holding 24 wins and 13 knockouts. Despite his valiant effort, Chukhadzhian ultimately lost his campaign against the undefeated welterweight champion.
The victory crowns Ennis as the reigning IBF welterweight champion as he is ordained to protect his title for a second time this Saturday.
