As the nation prepares for the inauguration of Donald Trump as the 47th President of the United States for a second term, dignitaries from around the world, including Indian business leaders Mukesh Ambani and his wife Nita Ambani, have arrived in Washington DC to attend the ceremony, set to take place on January 20.

The inauguration preparations have been in full swing, with Trump meeting with the Ambanis and other tech CEOs like Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg, and Tim Cook, who are expected to attend the swearing-in ceremony at the US Capitol. The ceremony, which will be held indoors due to the frigid temperatures, will feature a seating arrangement accommodating around 20,000 attendees. A group of Indian percussionists, "Shivam Dhol Tasha Group," will perform at the event, making them the first all-Indian group to do so. Trump will take the oath of office using his childhood Bible and the Lincoln Bible.

The inauguration weekend has included an 18-gala celebration and a "Make America Great Again Victory Rally" at the Capital One Arena, featuring speeches and performances by notable figures, including Kid Rock and The Village People. The ceremony will be preceded by a service at St. John's Episcopal Church and a tea at the White House. Indian businessman Ashish Jain, Managing Director of Kundan Spaces, attended a private reception in Washington DC ahead of President-elect Donald Trump's inauguration, where he met with other Indian business leaders, including the Ambanis. The Ambanis congratulated Trump on his re-election and expressed hope for deeper India-US ties.
