Pakistani Rupee Sees Bitcoin Price Drop to Rs. 25,931,666
The value of Bitcoin in Pakistani Rupees (PKR) has decreased to Rs. 25,931,666 as of January 13, 2025, amidst fluctuations in the cryptocurrency market. Meanwhile, gold prices in Pakistan have also experienced a decline, with the price of 24-carat gold dropping by 1,400 rupees per tola to Rs. 277,900 and 10 grams of gold decreasing by 1,201 rupees to Rs. 238,254.
The decrease in Bitcoin's value comes despite its historical surge during Donald Trump's presidency in the United States, where investors anticipated favorable policies for cryptocurrencies. However, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has warned against using cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Litecoin due to their decentralized and unpredictable nature. Bitcoin's limited supply of 21 million units and erratic value fluctuations make it crucial for investors to consult experts or trustworthy exchanges for up-to-date rates and financial guidance.
In contrast, gold prices have dropped globally, with the international price of gold falling by $14 per ounce to $2,661. This decline has been attributed to fluctuations in the international market, with local jewellers citing the global bullion market as the reason for the decrease in domestic gold prices. Silver prices, however, have remained stable, unaffected by the decline in gold prices.
As the cryptocurrency and gold markets continue to experience fluctuations, investors and consumers are advised to stay informed about the latest rates and trends. The decrease in Bitcoin and gold prices may present opportunities for investment or purchasing, but it is essential to exercise caution and consult with experts before making any financial decisions.
