Pakistan Squad for West Indies Tests Announced
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has unveiled a 15-player squad for the upcoming two ICC World Test Championship Tests against the West Indies, featuring several key changes and recalling experienced players to bolster their lineup.
The squad, which will face the West Indies in two Tests scheduled from January 17 to 21 and January 25 to 29 in Multan, boasts a spin-heavy lineup with the inclusion of off-spinner Sajid Khan, mystery spinner Abrar Ahmed, and left-arm spinner Noman Ali. Notable recalls include opener Imamul Haq and Mohammad Huraira, who replace injured Saim Ayub and out-of-form Abdullah Shafique. The pace quartet of Aamir Jamal, Mohammad Abbas, Mir Hamza, and Naseem Shah has been rested due to workload management, allowing other players to step up and showcase their skills.
Abrar Ahmed, who impressed in his debut series with 10 wickets, including his 100th Test wicket in just his second Test, will partner Sajid Khan to form a formidable spin duo.
