Brown County is abuzz with exciting activities, from literary clubs to gardening groups, to entertainment for all ages. The Brown County Public Library and the Brown County History Center and Pioneer Village have a slew of events, while the Hickory Ridge Community Center, though closed for rentals, offers its grounds for public use.

At the Brown County Public Library, the winter season brings new storytime sessions for kids and a variety of book clubs for adults. Young children can join Morning Storytime events on January 7, 14, 21, and 28 at 10:30 am. The library also hosts Thinking Money for Kids Party on January 9 at 5:30 pm, perfect for ages 3-12. Other notable events include the Sharyn McCrumb Mystery Book Club on January 7 at 2 pm and the Growing Season Gardening Book Club on January 10 at 2 pm.
