Free Fire India Pegged for Mid-2025 Relaunch
Garena, the developer of the popular combat game, Free Fire, has sparked speculation about the game's return to the Indian market with recent job postings in the country on LinkedIn. While the developer has neither confirmed nor denied the relaunch, industry insiders suggest that Free Fire India could make a comeback by mid-2025.
The job postings, which include roles such as Data Analyst, Marketing Associate, and Esports Marketing Associate, have fuelled whispers of a potential relaunch after the game was initially set to launch in November 2023 but was postponed for further development and improvements. Free Fire India was banned in the country, but it appears that Garena is repositioning itself to cater to Indian gamers with features such as improved gameplay, enhanced localization, and compliance with Indian regulations.
Although Garena has not made any official announcements, fans are advised to maintain a wait-and-see approach, as both Free Fire and its companion game, Free Fire Max, are being considered for the new roles. It is worth noting that the listed job openings may be for either or both titles. Garena has not officially confirmed the launch date, but insiders estimate that the game may return to the Indian market in mid-2025.
Fans can only hope for an official update from the developers. In the meantime, gamers can continue to keep an eye on Garena's official social media channels for more information regarding the potential relaunch of Free Fire India.
