Kerala MLA Uma Thomas Show Signs of Recovery After Stage Fall Accident

Uma Thomas, the popular Thrikkakara MLA, has shown hopeful signs of recovery after a January 29 accident at a stadium in Kochi, where she had fallen from a makeshift stage. According to a note from the MLA, who has been receiving treatment at an intensive care unit, Thomas has sat up for the first time since the incident, indicating a significant improvement in her health.

The accident occurred on December 29, when Thomas had fallen from the 15-feet high stage while taking part in a mass dance event. Local authorities had already detected safety violations at the event, including an uneven stage, before the MLA's fall. As the investigation into the case is underway, three individuals have already been arrested in connection with the alleged safety lapses.
