Saif Ali Khan Death Hoax: Actor Recovers After Knife Attack

Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan is recovering at Mumbai's Lilavati Hospital after being wounded in a knife attack at his residence, contrary to rumors surrounding his death. The incident occurred during a scuffle, and a 54-year-old man has been detained in connection with the incident, believed to be a theft attempt.

Saif Ali Khan underwent emergency surgery and is being kept under observation. A sensitive document containing his health insurance claim details was leaked on Twitter, revealing that he claimed Rs 35.95 lakh for treatment and received Rs 25 lakh approval. The document also includes his member ID, diagnosis, room category, and expected discharge date. Niva Bupa Health Insurance, Saif's insurer, has acknowledged the claim and expressed concern over the breach of privacy.

According to Kareena Kapoor Khan, the attacker entered the home through a fire escape ladder and demanded 10 million rupees from those present. She stated that the attacker was aggressive and tried to reach their children, Taimur and Jehangir, but when he couldn't, he attacked Saif multiple times. Saif sustained serious injuries, including six stab wounds, and underwent surgery at Lilavati Hospital. He is expected to be discharged in a couple of days.

The police have recorded statements from over 30 people, including a carpenter who worked at the house two days prior to the incident, but no arrests have been made yet. The police have formed 20 teams, along with 10 teams from the Crime Branch, to investigate the case and have seized CCTV footage from the Bandra area. Saif Ali Khan's condition after surgery is stable, and doctors say he is out of danger, although he will need to take precautions and rest for a week.
